The only Kit that's Carried over the devotees head during their journey to Sebarimala is the sacred Irumudi,.
The Irumudi consists of two pockets , the front should contain the coconuts which are to be offered at Sannidhanam (the Sabarimala temple where Lord ayyappa resides)
The coconuts should be 5 in number cwith the outer shell cleaned and polished to attain a smoother finish, it should then be applied with turmeric .
One coconut should be filled with liquified ghee through one of the three eyes of Coconut, whilst uttering the mantra "swamiyeeeee" saranam ayyappa, the opening should then be covered with a cork of the suitable size and sealed.
Rest of the coconuts, beetel nuts, beetel leaves, coins
The four coconuts should be broken at: one at Erimeli, one at Saramgutti and One at padunettambadi while climbing and the other at the right side of padunettambadi while returning (it is called Tirugu kayi in Telugu, Meaning its an offering to god informing him we take leave from him after Darshan)
The Irumudi should also contain a set of Blouse piece, Sambarani, Kumkum, Sandal wood powder, Camphor, Insense sticks, Rosewater, Rice, dal and Poha which should be used for offering.
